Prerequisites

Must be a senior high school student or a college student enrolled in a four (4) year university, community college, or technical school.
Minimum 3.0 GPA - provide a certified copy of transcript.
Major is listed in or closely related to “Field of Study” listed above

Write an essay up to three (3) pages outlining your future career goals as well as your past involvement with wildlife preservation and habitat. If you have any special merits, please include those as well
Specify your grade level (high school or college)
Obtain certified copy of transcript
Submit all of the above via online form, email, fax, or US mail. Please ensure your name, phone number, and email address are included in all submission types.
Deadline is April 25, 2026. There will be no exceptions

Currently or has been a boy or girl scout.
Member or past member of Future Farmers of America.
Member or past member of 4H.
Previously worked with a wildlife or habitat organization.
Hunter safety course has been completed and passed.
Submitting a letter of recommendation from a current member of YVWF with application.
Has participated in past YVWF youth activities.
Has participated in wildlife service projects.
Has been in Jr. ROTC or is actively involved in ROTC.

Winner(s) will be contacted via telephone. Please ensure you provided a valid number.
Awards will be selected at the July 2026 YVWF Board Meeting.
Recipients are requested to attend the YVWF annual banquet in September for special recognition.
All awards will be paid to the registrar or bursar’s office of the recipient’s respective school. A valid tuition bill must be provided.
